Book ReviewsThe Sea of Trolls by Nancy Farmer BJF ***As an addicted reader of historical novels and most fiction for older children or young adults, this reviewer found this book appealing.
It's a nice easy introduction to the world of Norse sagas. Did you know that the nursery rhyme "Jack and Jill went up the hill" springs from this source? We need to learn something new every day, so we're told. The history seems to be impeccably sourced. The story is a bit cloying, probably more suited to the intelligent 10 year old and up. Would appeal to boys and girls. Reviewed by Kathryn Edwards 22 April 2006 Main Navigation: | About Us | Members | Searching | Maori Resources | Kid Space | Teen Zone | What's New
