Spirit Walker by Michelle Paver
I loved spirit walker, with its realistic forests, eerie people, strange magic and evil soul eaters.
it is the second in the series, called the
chronicles of ancient darkness. it continues the story of Torak and wolf,
who, having passed their first danger, now have to face another threat to
life. but this time, their foe is an invisible sickness that covers the
victim in boils, turns them insane and finally kills them. Torak searches
far and wide and meets up with wolf again, but only to be separated as
Torak journeys to the seal clan in hope of finding a cure to the sickness.
the plot is dark, and and as Torak comes closer to finding a cure he
discovers that even he has many secrets that are unknown. But he is being
followed all the way by an evil force, who is intent on destroying him,
and with him any hope of finding a cure.
